Chemical Reduction of GO: Comparing Hydroiodic Acid and Sodium Borohydride Chemical Approaches by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

چکیده
The efficiency of two wet chemical processes based on hydroiodic acid (HI) and sodium borohydride (NaBH4) used to reduce graphene oxide (GO) have been studied. At this aim, the oxygen abundance reduced (rGO) was studied as a function reductant concentration. A number rGO samples were produced their compositions using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. analyses show that reduction concentration proceeds non-linearly. beginning, when pristine GO is utilized higher extent obtained. decreases from ~32% 10.5% by increasing HI 0.24 M. steeper observed for NaBH4, where lowers ~13.6% just 50 mg NaBH4. Chemical analysis of graphene oxide films after heat and chemical treatments by X-ray photoelectron and Micro-Raman spectroscopy
Several nanometer-thick graphene oxide films deposited on silicon nitride-on silicon substrates were exposed to nine different heat treatments (three in Argon, three in Argon and Hydrogen, and three in ultra-high vacuum), and also a film was held at 70 C while being exposed to a vapor from hydrazine monohydrate. The films were characterized with atomic force microscopy to obtain local thickness...

A rapid progress in the theoretical developments based on modulations of absorption cross section due to single and multiple scattering of an electron emitted from an inner shell by X-rays impinging on the target atom to understand the EXAFS and XANES in recent years and harnessing of the highly powerful synchrotron radiation source for the X-rays have bestowed immense capability on X-ray absor...
متن کاملThe reduction of cozymase by sodium borohydride.
Cozymase (diphosphopyridine nucleotide, DPN) has been assayed by a variety of biochemical and chemical methods (1). Among the simplest procedures has been the determination of the light absorption of reduced DPN at 340 rnp after reduction by sodium hydrosulfite. Since special precautions are required to remove completely the excess reducing agent which absorbs in this region, it appeared advant...
